Matching mania , Arithmetic & Quiz

I have Co-Developed Three Modules for SKID Software in my Minor Project.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

“Matching mania , Arithmetic & Quiz” modules of Skid Software developed under the guidance of  Prof. Arun Mehta. Skid Software is designed to help kids to communicate and learn. Children, who cannot speak properly, including many with cerebral palsy and autism, are denied access to a regular school, even though they could communicate in other ways, for instance using a computer. It is such other ways that Skid explores.

Children have different disabilities, to different degrees, and not seldom combinations of disabilities. Software that seeks to take advantage of the unique combination of abilities of each child therefore must come in almost infinite variety.

In Skid we have large numbers of tiny modules in the software, that the user can select and combine, based on the specific task he/she wishes to perform.

Skid is designed to be used via one of the following means of input:

•  joystick or racing wheel (so far only works under Linux, needs special  client software)

•  arrow keys and space bar (via free Windows and Linux client software)

•  mouse

• touch screen

In today’s world people don’t have time for themselves, so how can they think of that part of society which has physically challenged human beings who need love ,warmth and sympathy .But even those people have right to live life normally particularly the small kids.

ARITHMETIC

It is very difficult for physically & mentally challenged  kids to solve arithmetic problems in any complicated manner like using paper pencil or by normally using the keyboard as we do. So this module simplifies the task by presenting the problematic expression in one section and choices in another and enable kids to match the options with help of four keys or any means of providing input he/she is. This project can help mentally disabled people to learn and retain the things which otherwise is generally an abstruse task.

QUIZ

In today’s world almost every test is computer based so in order to make physically & mentally challenged people stand equivalent to normal people and pace with disguising race we have made this module to present the multiple choice problems in computer based format and enable easy selection of correct choice with help of four keys or any means of providing input he/she is.

MATCHING MANIA

Physically & mentally challenged  kids cannot perform the counting and matching task in any complicated manner , so this module simplifies the task and also make it alluring by presenting the pictures in one section and choices in another and enable kids to match the options with help of four keys or any means of providing input he/she is. This project can help mentally disabled people to learn and retain the things which otherwise is generally an abstruse task.

Its presently not Updated on Skid. But will be Updated soon…
